Description: Patent Litigation/Hatch Waxman/Generic

Position: Associate

Notes: This is an immediate hire for and within a well-known NYC based firm that has several Hatch Waxman generic side litigations in play and more coming. Although the firm is not super set on class year, the new hire will have to be able to come in running. Preference for 4-6 years' experience but flexible as to class year. Work will continue unlimited for this small growing group that only hires career committed attorneys interested in Partner track. Lifestyle is busy and expectations are hours reflecting a practice with ongoing active litigations and non-stop workflow.

Although everything from a work (and interviewing) standpoint is remote for now and until there is a 100% Covid free environment, the firm does expect the new hire to live and work in the NY metro area and will assist with re-location when it comes into play. Firm pays above market compensation.

BS/PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or similar science preferred. Must be admitted or able to waive into the New York bar and USPTO. Must have vast experience drafting expert reports concerning compound, polymorph, method of treatment, and formulation patents; experience taking fact depositions, though a plus for experience in taking expert depositions; experience drafting discovery motions/letters, drafting pre-trial disclosures. Preference is for trial experience, though no need to have taken directs or crosses, strong written and oral presentation skills; ability to work independently and on a team. Firm seeks those not only with intelligence but also ambition.
