Description: In-House Patent Attorney/Life Sciences/PhD

Position: Associate Director

Notes: Publicly traded biopharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced patent lawyer for the position of Associate Director. Must have 3-5 years of in-house and/or law firm experience along with a PhD in a life sciences field, immunology is a plus. USPTO required, NY bar preferred.

In this role, you will be conducting strategic IP due diligence, including the portfolios of competitors and potential collaborators; identify opportunities for expanding the company's IP position and working with members of various business, legal, scientific and administrative groups within the company to take advantage of such opportunities; provide IP transactional support for a wide variety of business transactions, including research collaboration and licensing agreements, clinical agreements, master services agreements, clinical trial agreements, MTAs, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, and confidentiality agreements; andmonitor internal and external developments around key molecules, platforms and other technologies to provide IP strategic support for early stage collaborations after execution.

Ideal candidate will have a broad range of patent-related legal expertise including licensing, patent preparation and prosecution, IP due diligence, litigation, and strategic counseling.
