Description: Patent Prosecution/Biochem/PhD

Position: Associate

Notes: Long time IP boutique client in Phila has asked us to help them bring on a Biochem PhD. /JD with a minimum of 1 year experience doing patent preparation and prosecution - both domestic and foreign. This position does not require a book of business (although welcome) as there is more than enough work ready to be addressed. Work will be primarily biotech and chemical. We placed an attorney there 4 years ago who is quite happy and has flourished in his role to date.

The firm has a productivity-based comp plan that offers larger rewards than big law for those inclined. There is also an origination fee for those who bring clients in over time. No billing requirements and expectations are not excessive. The position will be in office although an eventual virtual day per week is possible.

Firm has a robust benefits program that includes health, disability and life as well as a 401K contribution after a year's time.
