Description: IP Counsel/Transactional M&A/Private Equity
We are working with a Top 50 firm's NYC office that is looking for a Counsel level candidate (a partner without business would be fine) with big M&A deal experience who can support their PE practice and run their IP diligence work. The candidate would be working with the IP transactional group and, while they want someone to focus exclusively on IP diligence, the firm is open to someone who would also want to do some Cyber Security type work (but no licensing or trademark).
This is a great position for someone who wants a leadership role without the pressure of business development that comes with partnership. Plus, this firm is not a sweat shop they have a great firm culture. The candidate would essentially be managing the M&A support side of the practice and taking ownership of it. Also, the PE work there is a lot more exciting than the public M&A work that a lot of larger firms focus on.
